POSITION SUMMARY
As an Advanced Practice Provider, you will operate independently or as part of a small team to deliver high-quality mental health care services. In this role, you will be pivotal in providing comprehensive and patient-centered care that emphasizes mental health and wellness.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Masters or Doctoral degree from an accredited college or university in Nursing. High school
diploma required.
Experience: Experience working in substance use is preferred but not required.
Licensure: Current licensure as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP or PMHNP-BC).
Additional Requirements: A thorough knowledge of The Joint Commission, OSHA, CMS, DHS, State Regulations,
and Federal Regulatory Standards. Complete TB testing, Drug Screening, and Background check upon being hired.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Clinical Assessment:
Conduct thorough psychiatric evaluations, including comprehensive mental health assessments and
diagnostic interviews.
Evaluate patients for mental health disorders, substance use, and any co-occurring conditions.
Diagnosis and Treatment Planning:
Formulate accurate psychiatric diagnoses based on clinical assessments and diagnostic criteria.
Develop personalized treatment plans incorporating evidence-based interventions, therapy, and
medication management.
Therapeutic Interventions:
Provide individual and possibly group therapy sessions using a range of therapeutic modalities.
Offer psychoeducation to clients about mental health conditions, treatment options, and coping strategies.
Medication Management:
Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications, adjusting treatment plans as necessary.
Monitor medication efficacy, side effects, and overall treatment progress.
Business Development:
Partner with Business Development to attend networking events and create marketing resources for
community.
