Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Executive Function Coaching to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in mental health with the ability to provide support to individuals facing EF challenges which include helping individuals , students both young and adults develop and improve EF skills like planning, organization, time management, and self-regulation through personalized strategies and support.
Core Responsibilities:
- Assessment:Evaluate an individual's current executive functioning skills and identify areas for improvement.
- Goal Setting:Collaborate with clients to set realistic and achievable goals related to executive functioning.
- Strategy Development:Develop and implement personalized strategies and tools to enhance executive functioning skills, such as time management techniques, organizational systems, and self-regulation strategies.
- Skill Development:Provide instruction and support to help clients develop and practice essential executive functioning skills, including planning, prioritizing, time management, focus, and self-regulation.
- Monitoring and Feedback:Regularly monitor client progress, provide feedback, and make adjustments to strategies as needed.
- Accountability:Help clients stay accountable for their goals and actions.
- Emotional Support:Provide emotional support and encouragement to help clients overcome challenges and build confidence.
- Collaboration:Work with parents, educators, or other professionals to support the client's progress.
- Self-Advocacy:Help clients develop self-advocacy skills, such as communicating their needs and seeking support.
- Life Skills:Assist clients in developing life skills, such as goal setting, problem-solving, and decision-making.

- Planning and Organization: Help clients develop effective planning and organizational systems for school, work, or personal life.
- Time Management: Teach strategies for effective time management, including prioritizing tasks, setting deadlines, and managing time effectively.
- Focus and Attention: Help clients improve their ability to focus and concentrate, and manage distractions.
- Self-Regulation: Support clients in developing self-regulation skills, such as managing emotions, impulses, and behaviors.
- Task Initiation and Completion: Assist clients in overcoming challenges with starting and completing tasks.
- Working Memory: Help clients improve their ability to hold and manipulate information in their short-term memory.
- Cognitive Flexibility: Support clients in developing their ability to adapt to changing situations and think flexibly.
- Goal Determination: Help clients identify and set meaningful goals.
- Emotional Regulation: Support clients in developing strategies for managing their emotions.
- Self-Advocacy: Help clients develop the skills to advocate for themselve
This role requires a compassionate approach to coaching, focusing on empowering clients to achieve their personal and professional goals.
Duties
- Conduct one-on-one coaching sessions with clients to assess their needs and develop personalized action plans.
- Provide guidance and support in areas of specific need.
- Utilize appropriate documentation and reporting of sessions.
- Collaborate with the team at Mind Matters
- Stay informed about the latest research on EF
- Maintain accurate records of client progress and outcomes while ensuring confidentiality.
Requirements
- Proven experience with students ( either school-aged or adults)
- Prior EF coaching experience is preferred.
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities is highly desirable.
- Strong skills in EF are a requisite.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a clinical setting.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- A compassionate demeanor with a commitment to client empowerment and success.
- Relevant certifications or degrees in psychology, counseling, or related fields are preferred.

Job Type: Contract
Pay: $65.00 - $100.00 per hour
