Position qualifications :
High School Diploma or equivalent preferred. Six (6) months or more of previous work experience as a security officer, law enforcement, or prior military experience strongly desired. Must be at least 21 years of age. Satisfactory driving record, with no more than 3 moving violations in the past 3 years. No history of driving under the influence.
Job purpose :
Responsible for providing secure transport for patients. Promote a safe environment for patients and employees. Coordinate care with other clinical and medical staff as necessary, and as directed per Multidisciplinary Treatment Plans. Interact with clients and provide support, structure, stability, and positive role modeling.

Working Conditions / Physical Demands :
Employee must occasionally lift and / or move up to 25 pounds. Employee is frequently required to walk, sit, stand, or kneel and occasionally required to climb or balance and stoop. Must have ability to sit for longer periods of time at a computer or while driving. Long hours may be spent behind the wheel while transporting passengers, who may be distracting to the driving employee. Employee must be able to travel between Mind Springs sites. May be exposed to stressful situations that involve enraged, distraught and / or intoxicated individuals with possible mental health conditions. Possible exposure to communicable disease. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
