As the state’s largest not-for-profit provider of intellectual disability services, Minda provides supported independent living accommodation, employment and community engagement options, as well as allied health and respite services.Everything we do is underpinned by our values of Respect, Heart, Opportunity, and Community, and we recruit skilled people who share these values.This is a great opportunity for an experienced or up-and-coming Payroll Lead to oversee the provision of payroll administration and customer services, as well as manage a small team to achieve fortnightly payroll for our Minda workforce.What you will doOffering a high level of autonomy, and the chance to work as part of a genuinely friendly and supportive payroll team, this role will : Lead and coach the team, maintaining a positive and supportive work culture.Lead fortnightly payroll processing and respond to complex or escalated queries.Lead end of month and end of year processes, administration of payroll taxes, superannuation payments, taxable fringe benefits, termination payments, and increments.Be a subject matter expert, with a good understanding of Awards, Enterprise Agreements, and legislation for effective payroll administration.Manage employee and payroll data and systems, including troubleshooting and testing of systems upgrades to ensure accuracy and compliance.What you need for successThe capability to oversee a small team in a medium to large organisation (circa 1000 ).Strong customer focus and commitment to continuous improvement of service delivery.Sound understanding of payroll practices including calculation of entitlements, tax rates, superannuation, and termination payments.Ability to manage data integrity, test system upgrades, and troubleshoot.Strong time management, attention to detail, and decision-making skills.Experience in applying industrial instruments and relevant legislation including superannuation, long service leave, and Return to Work.An understanding of salary packaging and FBT concessions.Leadership qualifications and / or senior payroll experience.Experience working in disability or a similar sector, or a genuine desire to work in community.Other : NDIS Workers Screening.What’s in it for you : Work for the community and make a real difference.Enjoy flexibility and salary packaging options.On-site car parking and café facilities based at the gorgeous Brighton Beach location.At Minda, we offer a supportive, collaborative, and fast-moving environment; we just need the right person!
