Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner - PMHNP - Full Time
MindCare Solutions is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to join our dynamic team on a full-time basis. The ideal candidate will excel in acute and chronic child / adolescent psychiatric care, delivering high quality mental health services to patients in various settings. This role involves conducting Behavioral Health Unit (BHU) and Inpatient (IP) consults and collaborating with members of the care team.
Compensation : up to $65 - $84 per hour (based on experience)

Duties / Responsibilities :
Conduct thorough psychiatric assessments, diagnosis, and treatment plans or patients.The Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner will develop individualized treatment plans, including medication management and therapy optionsCollaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure top tier Psychiatric care for residents, including the Collaborating Psychiatrist, Mental Health Professionals, and HUB Coordinators.The Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner will prescribe and administer psychiatric medications as necessaryConduct daily rounds in one designated hospital, ensuring continuity of care and effective communication with the healthcare team.Respond promptly to consult requests from the Emergency Department and Inpatient units, offering expert psychiatric assessments and recommendationsMonitor and adjust medication regimens to optimize effectiveness and minimize side effectsImplement therapeutic techniques to address a wide range of psychiatric conditionsThe Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner Offers education and support to residents and their families regarding mental health conditions and treatment optionsPromote mental health awareness and wellness among residentsMaintain accurate and up-to-date medical records in compliance with regulatory standardsEnsure timely and thorough documentation of all assessments and interventionsThe Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner will participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance mental health care services within the facilityCollaborate with the healthcare team to identify areas for improvement and implement changesParticipate in one weekend shift per month and additional on-call shifts as needed, providing emergency psychiatric care and consultationQualifications :
Master's or Doctoral degree in Nursing from an accredited program specializing in Psychiatric Mental HealthCurrent and unrestricted PMHNP license in the state of PABoard certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC)Minimum of 2 years clinical experience as a PMHNP, preferably in a hospital or acute care settingStrong knowledge of psychiatric assessment, diagnosis, and treatmentActive and unrestricted DEA (Drug Enforcement Administration) (We will help obtain)Excellent communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary teamPsychiatric Nurse Practitioners will maintain clinical competency & collaboration with Psychiatrist (we will provide)Ability to travel within territory (75 mile radius of home residence)Active and unrestricted driver's licenseBenefits :
