What are the responsibilities and job description for the L1 IT Support Technician position at Mindelta?
We are currently seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Level 1 IT Support Technician to join our team on-site at Viewics, Inc. in Santa Clara, California. This is a full-time, on-site position with a contract duration of 1 year.
The L1 Technician will serve as the first point of contact for end users requiring technical assistance, focusing on basic hardware, software, and network support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide front-line support for IT-related issues including desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and printers.
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues on-site.
- Handle service requests and incidents via a ticketing system.
- Perform installations, configurations, and updates for standard applications and operating systems.
- Maintain asset inventory and assist in IT equipment setups.
- Escalate unresolved issues to Level 2/3 support teams as needed.
- Ensure timely follow-up and clear communication with end users.
Qualifications:
- Basic understanding of Windows OS, Microsoft Office, and general IT principles.
- Familiarity with desktop/laptop hardware and peripheral devices.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a customer-first attitude.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Prior IT support or helpdesk experience is a plus.
- Ability to work independently on-site.
