Job Title: Network Security Engineer
Location: Austin, TX Onsite
Job Description:
- Matagorda County requires the services of 1 Network Security Engineer 2, hereafter referred to as Candidate(s), who meets the general qualifications of Network Security Engineer 2, Security and the specifications outlined in this document for the Matagorda County.
- This position will work under the direction of the Matagorda County Information Services director and should be able to maintain close working relationships with county employees and customers.
Additionally, the System Administrator should be familiar with the following functions:
- Performs troubleshooting support of systems hardware, software, and networking issues.
- Knowledge, skills, and abilities to implement, maintain, and refine Active Directory and Group Policies.
- Knowledge, skills, and abilities to implement secure remote access and management solutions for county staff and vendors.
- Knowledge, skills, and abilities to implement effective logging and log management solutions.
- Knowledge, skills, and abilities to implement effective develop an access control list and implement network access control.
- Knowledge, skills, and abilities to install, configure, and maintain Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) or other similar solutions to set up, configure, and manage a workstation imaging system/solution.
- Installs, configures, maintains, and administers servers, operating systems, and applications.
- Supports operational, technical, and system requirements for the location, installation, operation, and maintenance of servers.
- Performs related work as assigned.
Required Skills:
- Required 4 years Active Directory
- Preferred 5 years Remote Access Management
- Preferred 5 years SCCM or similar
- Preferred 5 years Security Event Logging
- Preferred 5 years Network Access Controls
- Preferred 5 years Access Control Lists
