Founded in 2024, Mindful Communication Group is a multidisciplinary practice that provides high-quality speech therapy and mental health services to children and adults.

A Day in the Life of a BCBA with Mindful Communication Group
As a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), you will:
- Assist in the development and implementation of Mindful Communication Group’s ABA therapy program.
- Conduct Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs) and develop individualized Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) based on client needs.
- Supervise and train Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) as the program expands.
- Provide direct ABA therapy, focusing on skill acquisition, communication, and behavior reduction.
- Train and collaborate with parents and caregivers to reinforce therapy goals at home and in the community.
- Maintain accurate documentation and session notes in compliance with HIPAA, Medicaid, and insurance guidelines.
- Work with leadership to support billing, credentialing, and service expansion.

Compensation & Flexible Scheduling
- Negotiable hourly rate during the initial program development phase (non-client work).
- Transition to a per-session rate based on client services, supervision and leadership.
- Expected Weekly Hours: 10-15 hours per week initially, with flexibility based on progress.
- Hours will increase as caseloads grow, transitioning into a full-time opportunity.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in a related field (ABA, Special Education, Psychology, or a related field).
- Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) Certification (or willingness to obtain in Virginia).
- Experience providing direct care to individuals with an autism spectrum disorder (ASD).
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for family and caregiver training.
- Ability to provide in-home, community-based, and telehealth services.
