Mindful Communication Group is looking to hire a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to help develop and lead our ABA program.

Founded in 2024, Mindful Communication Group is a multidisciplinary practice that provides high-quality speech therapy and mental health services to children and adults.

Our goal is to expand access to comprehensive, evidence-based care by integrating Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy into our existing services.

Our philosophy is to empower children and families by providing individualized, client-centered treatment. We believe in a collaborative approach, working alongside speech therapists, mental health professionals, and caregivers to support each child’s unique needs.

A Day in the Life of a BCBA with Mindful Communication Group

As a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), you will:

  • Assist in the development and implementation of Mindful Communication Group’s ABA therapy program.
  • Conduct Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs) and develop individualized Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) based on client needs.
  • Supervise and train Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) as the program expands.
  • Provide direct ABA therapy, focusing on skill acquisition, communication, and behavior reduction.
  • Train and collaborate with parents and caregivers to reinforce therapy goals at home and in the community.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and session notes in compliance with HIPAA, Medicaid, and insurance guidelines.
  • Work with leadership to support billing, credentialing, and service expansion.

Compensation & Flexible Scheduling

  • Negotiable hourly rate during the initial program development phase (non-client work).
  • Transition to a per-session rate based on client services, supervision and leadership.
  • Expected Weekly Hours: 10-15 hours per week initially, with flexibility based on progress.
  • Hours will increase as caseloads grow, transitioning into a full-time opportunity.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in a related field (ABA, Special Education, Psychology, or a related field).
  • Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) Certification (or willingness to obtain in Virginia).
  • Experience providing direct care to individuals with an autism spectrum disorder (ASD).
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills for family and caregiver training.
  • Ability to provide in-home, community-based, and telehealth services.
