As we grow, we seek a dedicated Grant Writer to help secure funding to expand our impact.
Position Overview:
The Grant Writer will be responsible for identifying, researching, writing, and managing grant proposals to secure funding for Mindful Works’ programs and initiatives. The ideal candidate will have experience in nonprofit fundraising, grant writing, and donor relations, with a passion for social impact and mental health advocacy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Research and identify grant opportunities from foundations, government agencies, and other funding sources that align with Mindful Works' mission.
- Write compelling and persuasive grant proposals, letters of inquiry, and funding requests.
- Manage the grant application process, ensuring timely submission of proposals and compliance with funder guidelines.
- Maintain an organized grant calendar to track deadlines, reporting requirements, and renewals.
- Collaborate with Mindful Works leadership and program staff to gather data, stories, and impact metrics for proposals and reports.
- Develop and maintain relationships with funding organizations, donors, and grant officers.
- Assist in grant reporting by tracking deliverables, writing progress updates, and ensuring funder expectations are met.
- Support additional fundraising efforts as needed, including donor outreach, sponsorships, and corporate partnerships.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in grant writing and nonprofit fundraising, with a successful track record of securing funding.
- Strong research and analytical skills to identify appropriate funding opportunities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey Mindful Works’ mission and impact effectively.
- Detail-oriented and highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and projects simultaneously.
- Familiarity with grant management software and fundraising databases is a plus.
- Passion for social impact, mental health advocacy, and workforce development.
