Mindfully Psychiatry is seeking a Board-Certified Psychiatrist who also serves as collaborating physician for our expanding psychiatry services. The psychiatrist will supervise up to 5 nurse practitioners, with the option of providing psychiatric services to patients of the practice. This can be a hybrid role with a flexible schedule.
Our private practice offers autonomy and independence while maintaining a sense of community, and our Mindfully Academy provides training opportunities in different modalities and specializations, such as DBT, EMDR, child/Adolescent, SUD, Couples/IFS/Emotion Focused/Gottman and much more.
Responsibilities:
- Manages the healthcare of patients with compassion, cultural sensitivity, and preserves dignity and rights
- Prescribes and manages medications and non-pharmacological therapies based on the patient’s diagnoses, health history, and age
- Applies standardized care guidelines in clinical practice
- Performs designated procedures
- Ensures compliance
- Works collaboratively with integrated team, including PMHNP and counselors
- Collaborate with psychiatric nurse practitioners to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Review and sign off on patient charts and treatment plans as required by state regulations.
- Provide guidance and support to nurse practitioners in diagnosing and treating psychiatric conditions.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and organizational policies.
- Participate in regular team meetings and case reviews.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic health record (EHR) system.
- Be available for consultation and emergencies as needed.
Qualifications and skills:
- Required License – Psychiatry
- Active and unrestricted OH license to practice medicine (MD, DO)
- Ability to function as an effective member of an integrated healthcare team
- Strong preference for specialty practice area such as children, adolescents, SUD recovery, geriatrics, or disabilities.
- Comfortable with a 1099 position
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Commitment to providing compassionate and patient-centered care.
