Job Title: Coding Trainer
Location: This position is primarily remote for Dallas, TX area.
Duration: 3 Months (Possibility of Extension)
Shift: M-F, 8hrs No Weekends, No On-Call, No Overtime
Job Description:
Working under the direction of the Dir Coding & Reimbursement, CRD Coding Trainer Supervisor researches payor policies and coding requirements to ensure accurate and compliant documentation and code assignment. Prepares training materials, provides coding staff and providers with ongoing training and education. Assists with internal quality assurance audits of CRD coding staff. Collaborates with CRD managers to develop coding policies and to create targeted training materials for increased coding quality. Coding Trainer Supervisor will provide education to clinical staff and physicians on coding topics (denials, ICD-10 education, Annual Wellness visits, APP billing, etc.). Acts as subject matter expert for CC1 build pertaining to coding and documentation requirements.
Skill set for need: Certified CPC or CCS-P, with advanced coding credentials/experience, public speaking and ability to research create training content and PowerPoints
Special Certifications required/requested for this need? CPC or CCS-P and CPMA or CEMC required, additional specialty credentials are preferred
Software used in role by candidate? Epic, EncoderPro, MS Office applications, primarily Outlook, PowerPoint, Word and Excel.
