Position Summary: Looking for senior project manager with at least ten years of experience to support the implementation of technology initiatives. The position requires the ability to understand business needs and functions, liaise with subject manager experts and multiple third-party vendors, review project and requirements documentation and perform impact assessments. Experience with software development lifecycles, implementations, integrations, along with strong project and task management are essential.
This role manages, plans and organizes all activities of a large IT implementation project. Duties include: manage projects with multiple complex parallel work tracks; oversee multiple project components to ensure proper management and delivery; create, maintain and manage multi-vendor project plans; ensure that users and project team members roles and responsibilities are defined; coordinate and monitor activities to ensure project is completed on time and within budget; ensures that user requirements, deliverables and approvals are defined and documented; communicate project status; promote use of PMI best practices; ensure the delivery of a product that meets user requirements.
This role must be able to direct technical staff and manage the activities of all aspects of the project life cycle. Understands complex technical scenarios and requirements and can ferret out obstacles to progress and suggest alternative strategies and directions. Responsible for reporting status of a project to Senior IT and Business Management, including the articulation of impediments, risk analysis, risk mitigations, timeline and budget impacts.
Responsibilities:
Serve as primary point of contact for the Health Connector regarding project management and implementation of third-party vendor solutions
Work with third-party vendors to review and identify impacts and dependencies across project plans
Facilitate project status meetings with internal stakeholders and third-party vendors and capture action items
Develop and maintain an integrated implementation schedule with goals, milestones and all aspects of SDLC
Perform impact analysis for any schedule and milestone changes and maintains issue logs
Represent the client in project planning meetings with the third-party vendors and identify implementation tasks for the project
Liaise with third party vendors and agency SME s to support project planning, implementation planning, testing, triage and issue resolution
Identify, triage and solves project issues and perform Go-live readiness assessments
Work with the internal and external implementation leads to address project issues and mitigate risk.
Strong organizational, presentation, analytical and customer service skills.
May oversee business analysts assigned to projects.
Qualifications:
Bachelor s Degree or higher in Engineering, Technology or related field.
Minimum 5-10 years of project management experience
Minimum 5 years of business analyst experience
Former local, state, federal government experience preferred
Experience with State Based Marketplaces preferred
Proficiency in the following MS Project, MS Office 365
