Job: Medical lab scientist
Duration – 181 days (possible to convert based on performance)
Location: Burnet TX
Shift: 4*10 8:30pm-7am Mon – Thursday
Eligibility:
- U.S. Citizens, Green Card holders, or individuals with an Employment Authorization Document (EAD) are eligible to apply for this position.
Required Skills:
- Need to able to work alone. Small Hospital, sometimes very busy, other times boring. Needs blood bank experience.
- Chem maintenance some days.
- Blood bank experience
- ASCP or AMT is required
- GENERALIST [COAG, HEM, UA, ETC EXPERIENCE]
Skills & Experience:
1 – Is this for and Medical Lab Technician [2 year MLT degree ] or Medical Lab Scientist / Medical Technologist [4 year BS] or are you open to either? Would take an MLT if good. Prefers Bachelors.
2- Please confirm if ASCP or AMT certification is required. [If required, are you open to eligible /registered candidates?] ASCP or AMT
3- Are you seeking a generalist [proficient in testing in all Chemistry, Hematology, Urinalysis, Coagulation] or are you seeking a Micro Lab worker with Molecular background? No Micro, kit testing, Generalist
4- What department will this technical position support? [Micro lab, Core lab, DNA sequence, etc.]
5- Is Blood Bank experience required for this role? Yes
6- Any particular LIS [Lab Information System] experience you would like to see on resumes? [Millenium, Cerner, Epic etc.] Cerner Pathnet would be nice
7- Please confirm if color vision screening is required? Yes
Education:
BSMT, MLS, CLS or BS in Bio or chem with 1 year of relevant experience. OR 2 yr associates degree in medical technology [MLT]
