Are you a dedicated and board-certified Psychiatrist looking to make a meaningful impact? We have an exciting opportunity for you to lead our Psychiatry Services at Northwest Medical Center - Springdale in Springdale, Arkansas.
Role Overview:
As the inpatient Medical Director for Psychiatry, you will play a pivotal role in providing leadership and ensuring exceptional care for our patients. Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading quality and performance initiatives to maintain the integrity of the BHU.
- Representing psychiatry in hospital meetings and acting as the point person for psychiatric topics, both clinical and administrative.
- Participating in program development and expansion efforts.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Overseeing psychiatry providers to meet volume and quality expectations.
- Participating in recruitment, orientation, and performance management of providers.
- Being available for clinical escalation during emergencies.
- Conducting psychiatric evaluations, diagnosing patients, and prescribing medications.
- Monitoring patient progress and adjusting treatment plans as needed.
- Providing crisis intervention and completing clinical documentation.
- Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team and coordinating care with stakeholders.
- Providing referrals and education to patients and families.
- Offering outpatient psychiatric services virtually when necessary.
Requirements:
- Arkansas licensure or willingness to become licensed.
- Board certification or eligibility.
