About Our Client
We're representing a promising early-stage startup in the developer tools space that has gained significant traction with their product-led growth model. They're now ready to build out their enterprise motion with their first strategic sales hire.
The Role
As the Founding Sales Leader, you'll have the unique opportunity to shape the go-to-market strategy and build the sales function from the ground up. This is a pivotal role with significant growth potential, including the opportunity to build and lead a team as the company scales.
What You'll Do
- Own the full sales cycle for both self-serve and enterprise customers
- Conduct compelling product demonstrations and create sales collateral
- Work closely with product, engineering, and marketing teams
- Develop and optimize scalable sales processes and playbooks
- Provide strategic insights on market trends and growth opportunities
- Build relationships with high-value prospects and drive complex sales cycles
What Our Client Is Looking For
Required Qualifications:
- 5-7 years of B2B sales experience with a proven track record of exceeding quota
- Demonstrated success in high-growth technology companies
- Technical aptitude to understand and articulate complex developer tools/API products
- Track record of success in scaling sales operations
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
Preferred Experience:
- Experience in developer tools, APIs, or technical B2B products
- Early-stage startup or entrepreneurial experience
- Strategic business background
- Experience selling to both technical practitioners and enterprise decision-makers
- Data-driven approach to sales optimization
Package
- Base salary range: $120,000 - $250,000 (commensurate with experience)
- Equity: Up to 0.3%
