What are the responsibilities and job description for the Community Support Associate position at Mindsight Behavioral Group?
Comprehensive Community Support Services means activities necessary to allow clients to live with maximum independence in the community and consists of one or more of the following:
Skills training, cueing, or supervision as identified in the client’s individualized treatment plan:
- Medication adherence and recognizing symptoms and side effects;
- Non-clinical but therapeutic behavioral intervention, support, and skills training;
- Assistance in accessing and utilizing community resources;
- Emotional skills regulation;
- Crisis coping skills; and
- Developing and enhancing interpersonal skills.
Details of Job Responsibilities And Essential Functions:
- Work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team to assist individuals with mental health diagnoses
- Assist individuals in developing skills to maintain independence in community-based housing
- Develop strategies for implementation to increase an individual’s Activities of Daily Living
- Maintain training and Continuing Education Units as required by Kentucky Statutes and Regulations
- Assist clients in maintaining adherence with their person-centered recovery plan
- Provide opportunities for socialization through community networking
- Provide non-clinical but therapeutic behavioral intervention, support, and skills training
- Assist in accessing and utilizing community resources
- Maintaining professional boundaries is essential to helping clients. Professional boundaries can best be described as your ability to understand where you end and another person begins. This includes setting limits, determining acceptable behavior, and creating a sense of autonomy.
Work-Related Expectations
A Comprehensive Community Support Associate must complete daily treatment notes based on treatment goals created in the client’s Clinical Treatment Plan. No PA is required until 200 units are met. This full-time position has an expected quota of 20 billable hours per week.
Requirements
- Have a Bachelor's Degree, working towards a Master's in Counseling (preferred)
- Have 1 year of full-time experience working with individuals who receive services for the treatment of a: Mental health disorder; or a Co-occurring disorder;
- Supervision: Must work under the supervision of a licensed clinician. Meet face-to-face no less than one time every two weeks.
Salary : $18 - $20
