Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to pediatric patients, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed while monitoring patient responses.
- Collaborate with physicians, parents, and other healthcare professionals to develop individualized care plans.
- Educate families on health management, disease prevention, and wellness strategies.
- Maintain accurate patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations and hospital policies.
- Participate in emergency response situations as needed within the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) or Emergency Room (ER).
- Stay current with medical terminology and advancements in pediatric care practices.
Experience
- A valid Registered Nurse (RN) license is required.
- Previous experience in pediatrics or related fields such as School Nursing, Hospital Medicine, or Emergency Medicine is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of physiology and medical terminology relevant to pediatric care.
- Familiarity with healthcare systems and protocols for patient safety and quality assurance.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure while maintaining a calm demeanor during emergencies.
