Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Nurse specializing in Pediatrics to join our healthcare team. Duties
- Assess and monitor the health status of pediatric patients, including vital signs and overall condition.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, including IV insertion and catheter care.
- Collaborate with physicians, families, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding health conditions, treatment options, and post-care instructions.
- Participate in critical care transport when necessary, ensuring safe transfer of patients.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Assist in ambulatory surgery center procedures as needed, ensuring patient safety throughout the process.
- Manage acute pain management strategies for pediatric patients to enhance recovery experiences.
- Utilize knowledge of medical-surgical practices to provide comprehensive care in various settings.
Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
- Experience in pediatrics or a related field is preferred; ICU experience is a plus.
- Proficiency in IV insertion, catheter care, and monitoring vital signs is essential.
- Familiarity with critical care transport protocols is an advantage.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children, families, and healthcare teams.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment.
- Knowledge of durable medical equipment (DME) relevant to pediatric care is beneficial.
