What they’re looking for:
- BSN and current Ohio RN License. REQUIRED
- CPR certification required.
- Two (2) years previous inpatient acute care experience required.
Hours and compensation potential:
- The position is full-time.
- Full benefits package included and prefer someone commutable but could help with relocation.
What you’ll be doing:
- Responsible for the management function of planning, organizing, staffing, scheduling, directing, controlling, coordinating, evaluating, and reporting of activity on a particular nursing unit or floor.
- Analyzes department related information regarding operations, budgets, personnel reports, and / or other activities and develops action plans based on identified trends and variances.
- Effectively prepares reports and correspondence within specified time frames involving synthesizing information, writing text, and preparing final communications.
- Maintains an effective system for managing and retrieving information to enhance operational efficiency (i.e. personnel files are organized and up to date).
- Demonstrates effective human resources management. Responsible for appropriate recruitment, selection, and retention of staff, attempting to minimize turnover of productive employees.
- Delegates effectively by establishing clear expectations, knowledge to do the job with appropriate follow-up mechanisms while maintaining accountability.
- Facilitates development of staff and motivates them to meet organizational, departmental, and professional commitments.
- Functions as supplement to acute care nursing as required.
- Demonstrates understanding of operational issues in areas of responsibility providing support as needed for staff.
- Coordinates the admission, discharge, and transfer process.
- Participates in interdisciplinary development of evidence-based patient standards of care and the collection and analysis of patient outcomes. Includes facilitating participation of staff in same.
- Develops, implements, and evaluates systems and processes that complement the overall system for performance improvement.
