Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our healthcare team. Responsibilities
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Monitor patients' vital signs and report any significant changes to the nursing staff or physicians.
- Assist in the development and implementation of patient care plans.
- Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding health management and treatment options.
- Perform procedures such as gastric lavage and infection control measures as needed.
- Maintain accurate patient records in compliance with ICD-10 coding standards.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care for patients, including those with developmental disabilities.
- Participate in training programs for new staff and assist in teaching nursing students when applicable.
Skills
- Strong understanding of behavioral health practices and pediatrics.
- Proficient in infection control protocols and best practices.
- Experience with sonography techniques is a plus.
- Ability to work effectively with individuals who have developmental disabilities.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective patient interaction and documentation.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in patient care documentation.
