Duties
- Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance the quality of life for clients.
- Monitor and record vital signs as needed, ensuring any changes are reported to healthcare professionals.
- Prepare and serve nutritious meals according to dietary requirements.
- Assist with medication reminders and ensure proper administration as directed by healthcare providers.
- Support clients with dementia care by engaging them in meaningful activities that promote cognitive function.
- Help maintain a clean and safe living environment for clients.
- Collaborate with family members and healthcare teams to develop personalized care plans tailored to individual needs.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in home care, long-term care, or working with individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred.
- Knowledge of basic health care practices, including vital signs monitoring.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with clients, families, and team members.
- Compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others.
- Ability to handle physical tasks associated with personal care assistance.
- Familiarity with systems used in personal care homes or retirement facilities is a plus.
- Certification or training in personal care assistance or related fields is advantageous but not required.

Expected hours: 36 – 40 per week

- 8 hour shift
- Evening shift
