Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Café Manager to oversee the daily operations of our New Craft café/ restaurant. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the hospitality industry, experience w/ bar operations (esp. bartending) and possess excellent leadership skills. Our role requires a real "roll up your sleeves" approach, since you'll be directly involved in hiring/staffing, hours of operation, menu management/changes, and ensuring the best in terms of Signature Cocktails & unique, casual food offerings. In short, our Craft Café Manager will be responsible for supervising all aspects of the operation, including food preparation/presentation, inventory control, and staff training.
Duties
- Supervise daily ops (Wed-prep/Thursday thru Sunday operations) to ensure high standards of food quality and customer service while increasing transactions AND revenue every month.
- Manage food operations-->including food prep, presentation and re-ordering.
- Oversee shift mngmt to ensure efficient workflow and optimal staffing levels.
- Implement inventory control measures to maintain stock levels & minimize waste.
- Train and develop staff in "Service 1st" approach, food handling practices, customer service, and POS (Toast) for credit card/cash handling.
- Assist in the hiring for new team members by providing a great "on-boarding" experience--and support with ongoing guidance & reinforcement.
- Ensure compliance with all State & local health and safety regulations.
- Handle credit card/cash transactions accurately and maintain accurate, tight accurate financial reporting.
Qualifications
- Experience-->Proven experience in a supervisory role within the hospitality/food industry, preferably as a Manager or Assistant Manager (or similar position).
- F&B-->Strong knowledge of Cocktails, Liquor mgmt and food prep/presenation techniques and practices.
- Org Skills-Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Inventory Control-->Experience w/ inventory control and understanding of cost mgmt principles.
- Training-->Ability to train staff effectively and foster a positive environment.
- Communcations-->Strong, upbeat, welcoming approach communication skills to interact with customers and team members professionally.
- Adaptability-->Flexibility to work various shifts as needed, including most weekends and select holidays.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $21.50 - $23.50 per hour
