Overview
Mine Hill Distillery is a small but growing award-winning craft distiller with great upside and long term growth ahead. We're seeking a dynamic, intelligent, positive, honest, high integrity, hard-working & results-driven individual to join our team and assume responsibility in the New Haven/I-91 & I95N corridors. The opportunity is real, and pretty straight-forward -->you'll support, sell and deliver to the ~120 customers already buying Mine Hill's great tasting spirits while also helping to expand our coverage and customer base up I-95 to the state border. You'll help continue to build our brand and business by selling in new accounts, doing periodic Tastings to familiarize consumers with our spirits, and provide "best in class" service & support to all our customers in your area. To be clear, we have a solid base of customers already-but we've just scratched the surface and know we have alot more potential! As the face of Mine Hill, your role is crucial for driving business growth, enhancing all our relationships, and achieving your monthly, quarterly, and annual sales objectives. The best candidates will possess strong analytical AND people skills, solid time management skills, enjoy daily customer & consumer interactions, and ideally have some previous sales experience (prev. experience a definite plus--not a deal breaker). Bonus points are definitely assumed for anyone with a proven track record in territory management, customer service, and account management. Responsibilities
- Develop & implement effective sales plans to achieve your revenue and placement objectives within your territory.
- Analyze towns and identify specific targets to close new business.
- Proactively manage and nurture existing relationships with key accounts to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction--and continued growth
- Sell in new SKU's wherever possible, and work to secure dedicated positioning in both Retail and On Premise (restaurant) accounts.
- Schedule & conduct regular product Tastings on afternoons and select weekends (likely 1-2 weekend days/month) to familiarize consumers with Mine Hill--and build deeper cutomer affiliation.
- Do cold calling when/where appropriate w/ product sampling a key element.
- Collaborate with GM to align on promotional activities and tools needed
- Monitor competitor activities and adjust tactics accordingly to expand market position.
- Provide weekly reports on sales performance, conditions, and customer feedback.
- Deliver product to your customers, and provide delivery tkts via email for customer invoicing and commission calculations
Qualifications
- Positive attitude, outgoing, strong work ethic
- Strong communication, analytical & interpersonal skills.
- Excellent customer service abilities with a focus on relationship building.
- Proficient in analyzing data to drive decision-making processes.
- Proven experience in sales, business development, or a related field is a PLUS
- Experience in beverage sales is also a BIG plus (but not mandatory).
- Ability to conduct fun Tastings that engage consumers AND customers.
- Clean driving record w/ own car; willing to travel daily to build your business
- A self-starter with a positive, proactive approach to overcome objections and solve problems.
