Library Duties:
- Assist patrons in making full use of library materials and services for their educational, recreational and cultural needs
- Catalog and process materials
- Plan and implement adult and youth services
- Create age-appropriate story times and programs for youth using a variety of formats and resources
- Provide direction to volunteers
- Maintain patron records and keep files current and confidential
- Select and purchase books and materials for the library
- Organize library programs for the community
- Participate in professional development opportunities
Administrative Duties:
- Assist in developing budgets, financial reports, town reports and annual survey
- Maintain accurate financial records
- Curate the library collection
- Apply for appropriate grants
- Prepare annual inventory of MML equipment and materials
- Work and interact with local organizations
- Perform other tasks as assigned by the library trustees
Required Experience and Skills:
- High school diploma; College preferred
- Two years working with the public (management experience preferred)
- Budgeting experience
- Strong computer skills
- Proficiency in word processing, spreadsheets, Canva and social media
- Effective communicator both verbally and in writing
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $14.00 - $17.00 per hour
