What are the responsibilities and job description for the Group Sales Representative position at Mineral Palace Hotel & Gaming?
Group Sales Associate is responsible for selling the property to parties of 10 or more; gaining new and repeat business through various efforts (outside sales calls, cold calls, direct mail, referrals, site inspections, tours, networking, etc.) throughout our target markets. Maintaining existing clients as well as finding new clients is an essential function to the gaming, hotel, and restaurant industry.
Create a monthly calendar correlating with all Deadwood events and schedule incoming groups accordingly. Book all Sturgis rally reservations, Kool Deadwood Night’s reservations, and coordinate any Banquet Event Orders for Conferences & Meetings. Be present and create a welcoming atmosphere for all groups, create group welcome packets with group coupons, player’s club cards, and hotel keys. Ability to obtain South Dakota Commission on Gaming Support License upon hire.
Works directly for the Director of Hotel Operations and will have additional tasks as assigned based on company needs.
