Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and organized Host/Host to join our team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, ensuring a warm welcome and a positive dining experience. You will manage reservations, greet guests, and coordinate seating arrangements while maintaining excellent guest relations. Your ability to communicate effectively and provide outstanding customer service will be essential in creating a memorable experience for our patrons.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and guide them to their tables.
- Manage reservations and seating arrangements efficiently.
- Maintain an organized waitlist during busy periods.
- Communicate with the kitchen and wait staff to ensure smooth service flow.
- Answer phone calls with proper phone etiquette, assisting with inquiries and reservations.
- Provide information about menu items, specials, and restaurant policies.
- Assist in maintaining cleanliness and organization of the front-of-house area.
- Handle guest concerns or complaints with professionalism and care.
Skills
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with guests and team members.
- Experience in customer service or food service preferred.
- Familiarity with Aloha POS or other Point of Sale systems is a plus.
- Excellent guest relations skills to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong organizational skills to manage reservations and seating efficiently.
- A helpful attitude towards both guests and fellow staff members.
