Job Summary
We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Servers to join our team in a dynamic restaurant environment. As a Server, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional dining experiences for our guests. Your primary responsibility will be to take orders, serve food and beverages, and ensure that customers have a memorable experience from start to finish.
Duties
- Greet and welcome guests promptly upon arrival.
- Present menus and provide detailed information about menu items, including daily specials.
- Take food and beverage orders accurately and efficiently using the Aloha POS system.
- Upsell menu items to enhance the dining experience and increase sales.
- Serve food and drinks in a timely manner while ensuring presentation meets restaurant standards.
- Monitor guest satisfaction throughout their meal and address any concerns or requests promptly.
- Prepare tables for dining by setting up utensils, glassware, and condiments.
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including processing payments and providing change.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely food preparation and delivery.
- Maintain cleanliness of the dining area, including clearing tables and resetting them for new guests.
Skills
- Previous experience in food service or the food industry is preferred.
- Knowledge of food handling practices to ensure safety and hygiene standards are met.
- Strong cash handling skills with attention to detail when processing payments.
- Ability to upsell menu items effectively to enhance customer satisfaction.
- Experience with food preparation techniques is a plus.
- Familiarity with Aloha POS or similar point-of-sale systems is advantageous.
- Experience in fine dining settings is preferred but not required.
- Excellent communication skills with a friendly demeanor towards guests and team members.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining composure under pressure.
