Job Summary:
The shipping and receiving coordinator is responsible for overseeing daily shipping operations.
Verifying and keeping records on all incoming and outgoing shipments and to prepare items for shipment. This role ensures the efficient management of inventory, adherence to quality standards, and timely fulfillment of production and customer orders.
Reports to:
Production Manager
Essential job functions
Maintain a “first in-first out” inventory control system.
Maintain customer order and shipped product records, including lot number traceability to customer.
Package and ship internationally per requirements defined by MRI Internationals marketing department.
Use UPS Professional, FedEx, Dazzle, and USPS Online shipping system.
Process returned product.
Manage domestic and international shipping procedures, Per the industry and company standards.
Be able to find the most cost effective and time effective methods to ship domestic and international orders.
Coordinate shipping trucks, unload them upon their arrivals.
Inspect the condition of the incoming product and ensure that it meets the set specifications.
Work with the shipping/receiving clerks to see that all paperwork is handled promptly, and goods are shipped/received and stored properly.
Responsible for packaging material and placing them in the proper location.
Help control and maintain inventory in all areas of the company.
Establish accept/reject standards.
Input received items into the fishbowl system.
Performs other incidental and related duties, as required, or assigned to meet business needs.
Controls inventory by weekly counting and entering accurate information into excel spreadsheet.
Verify all incoming shipments to be accurate by comparing the invoice to the order and ensuring all goods are in acceptable condition.
Minimum Qualifications:
1.Education & Experience:
A. Associate's degree
OR
B. High school dipolma or equivalent
AND
With two (2) years of progressively responsible experience in a field directly related to the above duties.
C. Or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Special Qualifications:
Must be self-motivated, and detail oriented.
Ability to interact and communicate with individuals at all levels of the company.
Skill in organization, time management, prioritization, and the ability to meet deadlines for multiple tasks.
Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
Special consideration will be given to applicants with APICS certifications, or a knowledge/experience of APICS principles in such areas as fishbowl, master planning, and inventory management.
Forklift experience.
Tools and Equipment Used:
Fishbowl
UPS Professional, USPS, and FedEx Online systems
Forklift certification. (We certify you if you do not have a current one).
Microsoft office suite (Excel, Power Point, Word, Teams, Outlook)
Work Environment:
Ability to lift 25 – 50-pound boxes (numerous times daily)

Pay: $17.00 - $24.00 per hour
