What are the responsibilities and job description for the Elementary School Teacher position at Mineral Springs Christian School?
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Facilitate opportunities for spiritual growth in students
- Endeavor to think, plan and instruct through a biblical world and life view
- Create weekly and long-range lesson planning
- Incorporate instructional strategies to create a conducive teaching and learning environment
- Assess students regularly, providing progress reports and documentation
- Implement curriculum that exceeds selected standard and skill guidelines with consideration of the students’ individual needs and developmental stage.
- Responsible for the arrangement and appearance of the classroom learning environment.
- Conduct parent conferences and maintain timely communication with parents.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Prefer one to three years of prior teaching experience
- Virginia teaching license preferred.
- Ability to integrate Biblical Worldview Perspective into curriculum design
- Knowledge and application of educational technology
- Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Able to work independently and in a team environment
- Be customer-service and public-relations focused
- Able to maintain confidentiality and work flexibility
- Christian role model in attitude, speech and action
- Able to attend devotions, faculty meetings, after-school and evening functions
- Pass a background check
