Bank Teller

Teller Job Description – including but not limited to:

• Provides account services to customers by receiving deposits and loan payments; cashing checks; issuing savings withdrawals; recording night and mail deposits; selling cashier's checks, traveler's checks, and series e bonds; answering questions in person or on telephone; referring to other bank services.
• Enter customers' transactions into computers in order to record transactions and issue computer generated receipts.
• Balance currency, coin, and checks in cash drawers at ends of shifts, and calculate daily transactions using computers, calculators, or adding machines.
• Records transactions by logging cashier's checks, traveler's checks, and other special services; preparing currency transaction reports.
• Examine checks for endorsements and to verify other information such as dates, bank names, identification of the persons receiving payments and the legality of the document
• Answer customer inquiries and refer customers to the proper service area for issues that cannot be resolved at the teller line.
• Represent the Bank in a manner that maintains and expands positive relations with all customers, potential customers and co-workers.

Physical aspects of the position:

• Standing/sitting for up 3 hours
• Bending/lifting
• Walking from teller station to drive thru station to wait on drive thru customers
• Moving trays of rolled coin within teller station and to/from vault
• Carrying large bags of coin to back room coin counter machine
• Carry large trays of statements to postage machine/post office
• Employee entrance to bank is one level lower than teller stations

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 per week
