This position involves working on a variety of electronic equipment and related devices, including installation, maintenance, repair, overhaul, troubleshooting, modification, construction, and testing. Your ability to promptly and accurately address technical issues will be crucial in minimizing downtime and maintaining business continuity. A successful Electronic Technician requires a specific skill set to excel such as :

Problem-Solving Skills : The ability to diagnose issues and develop effective solutions.

Observational Skills : Detail-oriented and adept at identifying potential problems during service checks.

Technical Proficiency : Proficient in interpreting diagrams and schematics.

Communication Skills : Possess strong written and oral communication skills, enabling him / her to interact effectively with colleagues and clients.

Technical Skills : Experience in using tools such as multimeters, soldering stations, and precision screwdrivers. Also able to differentiate between various colors of wiring.

Electronics Knowledge : Familiarity with circuitry, wiring, and splicing.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES MAY INCLUDE :

Installation : Setting up new electronic equipment, including wiring, connecting cables, and aligning components according to specifications.

Maintenance : Performing routine checks and preventative maintenance on electronic systems to identify potential issues and ensure optimal performance.

Troubleshooting : Diagnosing problems with electronic equipment by analyzing symptoms, using test equipment, and identifying faulty components.

Repair : Replacing damaged or malfunctioning parts, reassembling circuits, and testing repairs to ensure proper functionality.

Calibration : Adjusting electronic equipment to meet specific performance standards using calibration tools.

Documentation : Maintaining detailed records of repairs, maintenance tasks, parts used, and system configurations.

Technical Knowledge : Reading and interpreting technical drawings, schematics, and manuals to understand system layouts and component functions.

Safety Compliance : Adhering to safety procedures when working with electrical equipment and hazardous materials.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS :

A strong understanding of electronic principles, encompassing circuits, components, and troubleshooting techniques.

Proficiency in using hand tools and specialized electronic testing equipment.

The ability to read and interpret technical diagrams and schematics.

Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

Good hand-eye coordination and dexterity.

The ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Knowledge of relevant safety regulations.
