We are looking to add an experienced Senior Software QA Developer to our Software Development team in Vancouver, Canada. Reporting to the Manager – Software Development, this role is responsible for the delivery of best-in-class software solutions that improve efficiency and reduce environmental impact across the mining value chain. An ideal candidate will be a detail-oriented self-starter that enjoys developing innovative solutions.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Identifies acceptance test criteria working closely with software development team.
  • Defines tests and test plans for large and complex strategic releastes involving multiple components of the system, often beyond defined acceptance criteria.
  • Writes automated/manual tests and reports on overall status to feature leads and other stakeholders.
  • Executes variety of automated and manual tests and test scenarios that are largely complex.
  • Leads the verification process to ensure defects are resolved and solutions are implemented by appropriate teams.
  • Proactively researches, proposes, and implements improvements for acceptance criteria requirements and test plans
  • Troubleshoot complex system issues and defects during testing, proposes solutions and leads the implementation.
  • Leads collaboration with other team members and software development team in defining acceptance criteria and test plans.
  • Provides opinions, comments, and feedback in software development activities practiced by the team.
  • Communicates status updates on work tasks in relation to delivery/launch dates.
  • Oversees team-owned product & process documentation.
  • Additional duties as occasionally required by your manager.


Qualifications:
  • 4-year degree/Bachelor's degree specialized in a relevant discipline. Ex. Applied Science, Computer Science or similar field.
  • 4-6 years of experience in a software development or software QA role.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Self-starter, ability to work independently and in teams.
  • Experience working in Microsoft 365.
  • Highly proficient at developing plans for feature and regression testing.
  • Highly proficient in Python.
  • Proficient with Jenkins or other CI environments.
  • Proficient with test automation frameworks.
  • Experience with Zephyr and release cycles.
  • Experience testing web and browser-based technologies.
  • Health & Safety conscious individual.
  • Legally able to work in Canada.

$92,000 - $105,000 a year

The salary offered to the successful candidate will be based on their experience, knowledge and skills they bring to MineSense, market data based on their location as well as internal equity. Keeping this mind, the salary offered can be outside of the range posted.
