IT Data Center and Security Manager

Job Purpose :

The IT Data Center and Security Manager will lead the Data Center and Security team, focusing on strategic planning, team development, process optimization, and cost-effective operations. This role demands a solid technical understanding to make informed decisions but emphasizes leadership, organization, and initiative. Reporting directly to the IT Director, the successful candidate will drive initiatives, create efficient processes, and manage priorities in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Job Duties and Responsibilities :

• Team Leadership : Manage and mentor a team of four, fostering growth and accountability. Provide clear direction for newer team members while empowering others to take initiative and make decisions.
• Strategic Initiatives : Partner with the IT Director to develop a multi-year roadmap focused on infrastructure refreshes, data center network updates, and security enhancements.
• Process Optimization : Build and refine operational processes to ensure efficiency and scalability. Develop strategies to address resource constraints and knowledge-sharing gaps.
• Project Management : Oversee key initiatives, ensuring on-time and within-budget delivery. Balance multiple priorities and adjust plans to align with organizational goals.
• Cost and KPI Management : Track and optimize operational costs while developing meaningful KPIs to measure success and identify improvement areas.
