Teacher's Aid/Paraprofessional
Salary: $17.30/hr
Hours: Mon-Fri 7am-3pm

Paraprofessional Qualifications:
- Must be at least 21 years old
- Must be able to pass a thorough background check and obtain a Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card.
- Education: Minimum High School or GED. Associate’s Degree or higher in related field preferred.
- 2 years’ experience working with online curriculum preferred.
- Experience: 2-4 years of teaching experience preferred.
- Licensure: Paraprofessional certification (certification process will be paid for by Mingus. Required within 90 days of employment).
- Possibility for overtime and potential internal promotions.
Paraprofessional FUNCTIONS:
- Facilitate instruction, monitor student behavior, and support classroom teachers in a computer-based classroom environment.
- Develop proficiency skills utilizing the computer-based curriculum in order to most benefit the students.
- Support campus structure on daily transitions.
- Collaborate across school staff to identify student learning needs and barriers as the school organizes and implements problem-solving actions.
- Collaborate with teachers by listening and questioning to formulate next steps and solutions.
- Willingness to learn in all school academic content areas to better provide academic instruction.
- If requested, participate and provide data for SPED, MET, CFT, and force field meetings.
- Engage in reflective conversations in which the Instructional Facilitator and teachers think collaboratively.
- Advocates for, facilitates, and co-constructs formative feedback exchanges among teachers.
- Ability to monitor and ensure the students are effectively learning, participating on classroom assignments, and assisted in managing behaviors.
- Reset lessons, grades essays, and provide students with feedback.

Mingus Mountain Youth Treatment Center is a Joint Commission accredited residential treatment center for emotionally and behaviorally at-risk adolescent girls. MMYTC is located on a 120-acre campus surrounded by National Forest, 25 minutes from the town of Prescott Valley. This opportunity will provide excellent training and experience in helping an at risk population that presents numerous unique strengths and challenges.
