Friends, It is that time of year again! Spring is right around the corner! Which means that everything is really starting to take off around here at Mini Earth Greenhouses! We are currently seeking motivated and hardworking individuals for our seasonal sales associate positions. The seasonal sales associate position is fast-paced and very hands on, but is also incredibly rewarding. There is nothing like when you see all our customers excited and enthusiastic about the growing season. We have a great customer base who return year after year. They prefer Mini Earth Greenhouses and make visiting us a annual tradition because we grow big, beautiful, healthy, plants that they can rely on!

About the Company:

Servicing Lake County, North Chicago, and Southern Wisconsin. We are a public greenhouse that has been locally owned and operated since 1983. Built on simple practices, we aim to provide our customers great quality plants at amazing prices. At Mini Earth Greenhouses we both grow and sell the plants we produce. Setting us apart from the big box stores and large retailers who import their plants from suppliers. As a company we focus heavily on producing strong healthy plants for our customers from Spring to Fall.

Job Summary:

Plant Sales Associates are expected to perform all the tasks and duties related to the selling of plants and hard-goods in a outdoor retail setting. These tasks and duties will primarily be located in the register/retail area of the greenhouse. Individuals in this position will be expected to conduct themselves in a professional but fast paced manner to ensure quick and efficient check out times for our customers. They also will be expected to assist customers with questions and concerns to the best of their ability. Additionally, they will be expected to maintain a safe and enjoyable greenhouse shopping experience for our customers. They may also be expected to assist other departments in the production if need be. Expect all tasks to be conducted outside and in the current weather conditions.

-Display Building

-Customer Service

-Product Stocking

Qualifications and Skills Required:

-Good Communication Skills

-Strong Customer Service Skills

-Basic Math Skills

-Ability to Lift 40lbs Individually

-Reliable

-Ability to Manage Time Efficiently

-Tolerance of Exposure to the Elements (i.e. Sun, Heat, & Humidity)

-Good Team Player

-Tolerance of Standing, Bending, and Kneeling for Long Periods of Time

Qualifications and Skills Desired:

-Plant Knowledge
-Register Operation Experience
-Flexible Availability
