Pet Care Specialist

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Kennel Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for animal care and the ability to provide a safe, clean, and nurturing environment for pets. This role is essential in supporting the daily operations of our kennel facility, ensuring that all animals receive the highest level of care and attention.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily care for animals, including feeding, grooming, and exercising dogs and other pets.
• Maintain cleanliness in all kennel areas by cleaning cages, play areas, and common spaces.
• Monitor the health and behavior of animals, reporting any concerns to management.
• Engage with pet owners to provide updates on their pets’ well-being and address any questions or concerns.
• Support training activities by reinforcing positive behaviors during playtime or exercise sessions.
• Ensure that all safety protocols are followed to protect both animals and staff members.

Experience

• Previous experience in animal handling or pet care is preferred but not required; a willingness to learn is essential.
• Familiarity with as a veterinary technician or assistant is a plus.
• Knowledge of dog training techniques or kennel operations can be beneficial.
• A genuine love for animals and a commitment to their welfare is crucial for success in this role.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $16.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 28 per week
