AR Collection Supervisor Job Description
Mini Melts USA, Inc., a dynamic and rapidly growing ice cream manufacturer located in Norwich, CT, is seeking an AR Collection Supervisor to join our accounting team. This role requires a motivated and detail-oriented individual with strong leadership abilities. The ideal candidate will demonstrate excellent organizational skills, a proactive attitude, and the ability to supervise and manage accounts receivable activities while ensuring timely and accurate collections.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and oversee the accounts receivable collection process.
- Review and generate AR reports by depot, ensuring precision and timely completion.
- Manage AR entries and proactively follow up on overdue collections.
- Communicate with customers by phone and email to resolve billing questions and payment issues.
- Handle automatic ACH/credit card payments through the portal and ensure accurate posting.
- Manage and review check deposits and oversee the collection process.
- Assess and determine whether to release or hold orders placed for shipping, based on AR status.
- Create and maintain a routing and hold list for customers with outstanding balances.
- Provide assistance to the Accounting Operations Manager and AR Manager with additional tasks as required.
- Assist in identifying and implementing automated opportunities and process efficiencies within the system to streamline AR operations.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in accounts receivable or collections, with supervisory experience preferred.
- Strong data entry skills and attention to detail.
- Knowledge of standard accounting procedures and AR management.
- Ability to prioritize, multitask, and manage deadlines.
- Experience with SAP Business One is a plus.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel.

Pay: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
