Assistant Teachers: $19.00 per hour
Education Requirement: Child Development Associate (CDA) Credential or equivalent
CDA equivalent = some college coursework with 12 credit hours in ECE, Child Development, Elementary Education, Special Education.
Schedule: Monday through Friday
Full-time shifts available (30 - 37.5 hours per week)
Assistant Teacher Responsibilities:
Assistant Teachers work under the direction of a Lead Teacher and are a vital member of the classroom teaching team. Assistant Teachers:
- play and interact with young children to support their emotional and educational needs.
- help the Teacher intentionally prepare and maintain an enriched learning environment.
- ensure the safety of all the children in their care.
- help assess the needs of each child in the classroom, then use the assessment to differentiate and individualize instruction to support each child's developing skills and knowledge.
- assist in implementing the curriculum - Creative Curriculum, Conscious Discipline, RIE, and NAEYC standards.
- work with diverse families, administrators, and team members.
- make learning meaningful.
