As a Front Desk Office Assistant, you will be responsible for:
- Assist front desk, billing department, compliance department, executive team, and clinical department with daily tasks and project
- Welcome patients and visitors in person or on the telephone; respond to or receive inquiries and consultations
- Receive, direct, and relay telephone messages and fax messages
- Track and prepare medical record requests
- Schedule appointments in person or by telephone for consultations, imaging, and surgical procedures
- Verify insurance eligibility, benefits, and pre-authorization
- Post insurance and patient payments accurately
- Contact insurance companies to research, appeal, track, and resolve any unpaid claims
- Oversee front desk patient payment collection process and reconciliation
- Assist with medical coding and billing
The ideal candidate will be:
1. Detailed-oriented problem solver with good time-management abilities and a keen eye for details. Come with solutions.
2. Comfortable managing multiple time-sensitive deadlines and prioritizing
3. Healthcare background (College Degree preferred) - Experience in MedSpa, Plastics, Derm, Aesthetics is a plus!
4. Knowledge of healthcare regulations and medical terminology
5. Outstanding written and communication skills
6. Experienced with EMR Systems and electronic medical records.
7. Tech savvy
