Key Responsibilities:
- Billing and Insurance Management:
- Process and submit claims for counseling services provided, ensuring accuracy and timely submission.
- Follow up on unpaid or rejected claims with insurance providers.
- Verify insurance coverage and benefits for clients, ensuring proper coding and documentation.
- Manage client accounts, ensuring that billing statements are accurate and payments are processed correctly.
- Provide assistance to clients with insurance-related inquiries, such as billing discrepancies and claim denials.
- Maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations for all billing and client information.
- Credentialing:
- Assist mental health counselors in obtaining and maintaining credentialing with insurance companies and relevant authorities.
- Ensure compliance with the latest credentialing requirements and regulations.
- Complete and submit credentialing applications, ensuring timely approval and renewals.
