Summary
This position is responsible for the management of all personnel who provide preventative and emergency repair service for all plant equipment, buildings, and systems; fabricate spare parts; install new equipment and systems; operate the boilers. The Maintenance Manager reports directly to the Director of Operations and works closely with the Production Manager, Engineering, and Technical Services.
Essential Job Duties
Achieve and maintain a world class maintenance program
Direct oversight of frontline supervisors for mechanics, electricians, instrument technicians, machine shop, reliability, and maintenance planning
Monitor expenses and controls the budget for maintenance
Work collaboratively with the production manager and process team to coordinate maintenance activities and align priorities
Develop, implement, and maintain maintenance programs and procedures
Responsible for oversight of installation, repair, and upkeep of operations of all company facilities
Prioritizes work across the team
Provides oversight of the Maintenance Planning Team and activities
Work closely with Maintenance Reliability Team to proactively identify issues and ensure minimal downtime year round
Proactively work with Engineering to identify and correct problems
Foster relationships with contractors and service providers
Keep up to date with new technology and make recommendations for upgrades
Ensure maintenance involvement in planning for and addressing problems, process changes, and the establishment of proper equipment operating parameters
Champions the Maintenance Staff in hiring, training, and talent development of employees
Complete administrative tasks, duties, and reports as required in a timely manner
Participates in several manufacturing committees as assigned
Other duties as required by the business

Adhere to all company policies and all safety, food safety, feed safety, and sanitation rules and programs
Qualifications
5-8 years in manufacturing leadership positions
Strong maintenance background including mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation.
Understand what is required of food manufacturing facilities by FDA including CFR’s, OSHA, NDSDH, SQF, GMP B2, and FAMI QS guidelines
Strong leadership skills
Detail oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to communicate effectively and work cohesively with employees at all levels
Strong sugar manufacturing knowledge
Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills

Microsoft Office proficiency

Physical Demands and Expectations
• Able to stand or walk on concrete floors for an entire eight hour shift if necessary
