SUMMARY:
MCAD is seeking an Accounts Payable Associate. This position is responsible for processing accounts payable, and providing general accounting and office management support for business office staff and activities. Along with other business office colleagues, this position will provide friendly and prompt customer service to visitors at the window. The Accounts Payable Associate must be sensitive to college needs, employee and student goodwill, and overall brand equity of MCAD as an employer and educational institution.
DETAILS: This is a full-time non-exempt position expected to work 35 hours a week. This position reports to the Controller and is paid $26.00 hourly.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Accounts Payable
- Maintain accuracy and integrity of the accounts payable module.
- Review and process weekly invoices and check requests for payment.
- Review, and maintain vendor records and W-9 documentation.
- Assist with the management of consortium contracts and discount pricing for preferred vendors.
- Prepare 1099 forms on an annual basis.
- Reconcile vendor statements to invoices monthly.
- Corporate Credit Card Program
- Receive and process credit card statements.
- Track statements for timeliness, documentation and approval.
- Prepare a monthly journal entry to post to the general ledger.
- Assist with maintaining cardholder accounts and support.
- General office support
- Manage the accurate and timely preparation and filing of annual unclaimed property reports.
- Disburses petty cash and student and employee reimbursements.
- Manage business office supplies and ordering, including Staples and Amazon accounts.
- Coordinate centralized MCAD branded stationery inventory.
- Assist the Controller with managing Business Office intranet sites and forms.
- Assist with annual audit and records retention at fiscal year-end close.
- Provide customer service to visitors at the Business Office window.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements
JOB REQUIREMENTS
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- Associate’s Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or related field, preferred.
- Three (3) years of accounts payable experience, preferred.
- Advanced Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, data tables, etc.) experience, preferred.
- Familiarity with Blackbaud Financial Edge or similar financial software, preferred.
- Experience with a Higher Education or Non-profit environment, preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to facilitate communication and collaborate across departments.

This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear.
