Summary
The Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board (MPRB) manages aquatic facilities at the following locations: Jim Lupient and North Commons Waterpark, Webber Natural Pool, and Phillips Aquatics Center (PAC). We employ Attendants that are responsible for front desk admissions and maintaining a clean, safe, and fun environment for waterpark/ pool guests while providing excellent customer service.
- This position works between 25-40 hours per week, part- time. Varied working hours including 5:30am-9:30pm, Monday-Sunday.
- Must be able to meet work schedule and in-service training attendance standards (May through August).

What You'll Do
- Apply knowledge of the rules and regulations for the beach, waterpark, or pool.
- Assist with operations of the aquatics facility.
- Respond to basic public inquiries and direct concerns to the appropriate authority.
- Provide directions regarding the facility to guests and patrons.
- Direct patrons on how to properly use equipment and water slides.
- Monitor activities to ensure adherence to rules and safety procedures, or arrange for the removal of unruly guests and/or patrons.
- Ensure all wrist bands and other points of control and access are properly maintained.
- Record details of attendance, sales, receipts, reservations, or repair activities.
- Sell admissions and collect fees from customers.
- Communicate issues, concerns, incidents, and/ or safety risks to leadership.
- Monitor activities to ensure adherence to rules and safety procedures.
- Report any damaged or unsafe equipment to pool supervisor.
- Apply knowledge of admissions, group use permits, and emergency evacuation procedures.
- Demonstrate and support MPRB customer service standards.
- Uphold and enforce all MPRB aquatic policies and procedures.
- Attend all required in-service trainings held from May through August.
- Assist MPRB in identifying and addressing the park and recreation needs of underserved and under-represented communities.

You are eligible to receive sick and safe time per the Minneapolis City Ordinance and Minnesota Earned Sick and Safe Time, and will earn one (1) hour of sick and safe leave for every thirty (30) hours worked. Public employees will be enrolled in statutorily required Public Employers Retirement Association (PERA) pension contributions if/when eligible. This position is not eligible for other benefits.
