- Set-up and tear down daily park activations (yard games, lawn chairs, equipment for programming, etc.)
- Assist with set-up, tear-down, and event support for larger Park events and celebrations, including but not limited to Kick-off to Summer, 4th of July Red White & Boom, Owamni Falling Water Festival, Fire & Frost Winter Event, K-pop in the Sunset, Paws in the Park.
- Assist with set-up, tear-down, and event support for some large permitted events as needed, including but not limited to festivals, Juneteenth Celebrations, Vikings pre-game events.
- Assist in supporting MPRB-hosted programs such as park markets, pop-up dog parks, music and movie events, sports leagues, etc.
Record Park attendance numbers and daily reports. - Provide basic park information and connect diverse audiences to the Downtown Park locations (The Commons, Water Works Pavilion @ Mill Ruins Park, Graco Park, North Loop Park, and Nicollet Island Pavilion).
- Assist MPRB in identifying and addressing the park and recreation needs of underserved and under-represented communities.
- Conduct park walks-throughs and report needed repairs through online platform.
- Assist MPRB in identifying and addressing the park and recreation needs of underserved and under-represented communities.
- Experience in parks, recreation, events, tourism, hospitality.
- Valid driver’s license and safe driving record.
- Knowledge of principles and best practices of customer service.
- Knowledge of principles and best practices of working with a diverse customer base.
- Ability to work out of doors in all weather conditions.
- Ability to work independently and be self-motivated.
- Ability to adapt to busy and changing environments and conditions.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule May through October.
