This position may be assigned to different areas. Duties, tasks, responsibilities, and qualifications will vary depending on assignment. Position will work up to 30 hours per week, mostly evenings and weekends as late as midnight to 1:00 a.m.

What You'll Do
- Provide the best sound and video possible with the resources available.
- Set-up and operate small and medium sized outdoor live sound reinforcement systems.
- Set-up and operate outdoor video projection system.
- Utilize signal flow and proper gain structure with all necessary microphones, mixing consoles, amplifiers, processors, equalizers, loud speakers, monitors, snakes, cables, stands and auxiliary equipment.
- Communicate effectively to provide excellent customer service.
- Adapt to changing conditions and situations.
- Work in a team environment.
- Assist MPRB in identifying and addressing the park and recreation needs of underserved and under-represented communities.
What To Bring
Need to Have:
- High School degree or equivalent
- Valid driver’s license and safe driving record
Nice to Have:
- Associate Degree in Audio Production/Engineering degree
- Related experience: Two (2) years
Skills Crucial to Success in This Role:
- Knowledge of advanced principles and best practices of audio/visual equipment, setup, and troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of principles and best practices of event coordinatization and management.
- Knowledge of principles and best practices of customer service.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Ability to have reliable internet and cell phone access.
- Ability to move to various sites around Minneapolis.
- Ability to work up to 30 hours per week, mostly evenings and weekends as late as midnight to 1:00 a.m.

- The ability to safely operate a motor vehicle as incumbents are subject to local travel to and from work locations. Operating or utilizing equipment requiring continuous or repetitive hand/arm movements. The ability to remain in a sitting or standing position for extended periods of time.
- The incumbent may be required to traverse on rough, uneven terrain, as well as wet and slippery surfaces and to ascend and descend ladders to access work areas.
- Work outside year-round in all types of weather conditions.

You are eligible to receive sick and safe time per the Minneapolis City Ordinance and Minnesota Earned Sick and Safe Time, and will earn one (1) hour of sick and safe leave for every thirty (30) hours worked. Public employees will be enrolled in statutorily required Public Employers Retirement Association (PERA) pension contributions if/when eligible. This position is not eligible for other benefits.
