What are the responsibilities and job description for the Dosimetrist (Float) position at Minneapolis Radiation Oncology?
Minneapolis Radiation Oncology is recruiting for a part-time or full-time Float Medical Dosimetrist to train and cover at several of our Radiation Therapy Centers across the Twin Cities metro area.
MRO has clinics using Varian equipment, Aria EMR and Eclipse Treatment Planning System and clinics using Elekta equipment, Mosaiq EMR and Monaco Treatment Planning System. This is a great opportunity to get your foot in the door with a well-established private practice in the Twin Cities, Minnesota. Pay will be determined based on prior experience
Duties:
- Planning a treatment technique to deliver a prescribed dose of radiation to a defined tumor volume
- Assisting Radiation Therapists, helping coordinate treatment simulations and tumor localizations including CT and MRIs when indicated for planning
- Providing technical assistance to the Physicists and clinic staff
- Responsible for patient prior authorization paperwork and may help with medical records requests as needed
