What are the responsibilities and job description for the Summer Programs Enrichment Instructor - Art position at Minnehaha Academy?

Minnehaha Academy’s Summer Programs is seeking an Art Instructor to prepare and teach art classes for Pre-K through 8th-grade students at our 4200 West River Parkway location for the eight weeks of camp.
Camp Dates: June 9 - August 1, 2025
(Please note: There will be no camp on June 19 and July 4).
Hours: 8:00 AM - 12:00 PM, Monday through Thursday.
Salary Range: $ 20.00 - $22.00 per hour.
Qualifications and Position Details:
- Art experience is preferred (teaching experience is a plus).
- A minimum of two years of experience working with children in a church, school, or camp setting is preferred.
- Ability to plan and implement age-appropriate activities.
- A passion for working and engaging with children.
- Strong interpersonal skills to interact effectively with children, parents, and staff.
- Ability to coordinate with the Summer Programs Director regarding the ordering of classroom supplies.
- Supportive of Minnehaha Academy’s mission.
- CPR/First Aid Certification is a plus.
- This position can serve as an internship opportunity.
