Pharmacy Nurse
Location: Minneola District Hospital
Schedule: Full-time, Monday – Friday
Job Overview:
Minneola District Hospital is seeking a dedicated Pharmacy Nurse to join our healthcare team. This role is essential in ensuring the accurate management of medications and coordinating specialty treatments for our patients. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to providing quality patient care. To gain a full understanding of our Electronic Health Record, I would like the candidate to work a few hours on the floor during their orientation phase to feel comfortable looking for and placing orders as needed. Our nursing leadership team (comprised of the CNO, ADON, IP/Employee Health nurse, OR director and Pharmacy Nurse) assist with IV placement, codes and traumas when needed from our frontline associates.
Key Responsibilities:
- Medication Management: Stock, order, and track medications for inpatient and outpatient use.
- Specialty Medications & Treatments: Set up and schedule specialty medications and coordinate outpatient treatment rooms.
- Collaboration: Work closely with pharmacists, physicians, and nursing staff to ensure seamless medication administration. Keep policies and procedures up to date.
- Compliance & Safety: Follow hospital protocols and regulatory guidelines for medication handling and patient care.
Qualifications:
- Licensure: Active RN license in the state of Kansas
- Certifications: BLS, ACLS and PALS
- Experience: Previous experience in a hospital pharmacy or medication management setting preferred.
- Skills: Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently.
