The MNIT DHS team supports complex and varied technical needs, including systems that provide health care coverage, deliver child protection and welfare services, and provide support for Minnesotans with special needs including mental illness, chemical dependencies, and physical or developmental disabilities.
Job Summary
As a Database Administrator (DBA), you are a technical specialist performing a broad range of system software programming, global system administration and DBA duties which include, but are not limited to evaluation, recommendation, planning, installing, testing, and maintaining the system software and hardware necessary to support different database environments (e.g., Oracle, SQL, etc.).

Note : This position provides 24 X 7 support for major social service systems, requiring on-call duties as well as overtime as directed by the supervisor and business need.

This position requires a minimum of four (4) years of years of experience as a Database Administrator providing professional technical expertise with Oracle Database and Microsoft SQL Server technologies.
Experience must also include :
A master's degree in Information Technology or an IT related field substitutes for three (3) years of experience, OR an IT related bachelor's degree substitutes for two (2) years, OR an IT related associate's degree substitutes for one (1) year.
