Job Summary
The Finance Specialist 2 position will independently plan and perform audits and special reviews as assigned by the Enterprise Internal Audit Director. This position will help agencies protect State assets with appropriate internal controls; recommend improvements in policies, procedures, practices and controls; provide assurance to management that proper controls, reviews, risk management and governance processes are in place; and provide consultative services to the enterprise on sensitive topics adding value within the enterprise.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
Three (3) years of demonstrated professional level experience with concepts related to the design, k nowledgeand skills in applying accounting and auditing principles to include operational auditing techniques, governmental auditing standards, Information Systems Auditing Standards, generally accepted accounting principles, and management consulting services.
Preferred Qualifications
Internal control systems such as SOX, ERM, COSO or Green Book
Additional Requirements
Minnesota Management and Budget will conduct reference checks to verify job-related credentials and a criminal background check prior to appointment.
